I took the 2 together not realizing they interacted. When i did the research, I found that it is not good idea, if this is so use with caution ( if the benefit out weigh the danger ). It can cause Serotonin syndrome ( some refer to it as a kind of poisoning ) which is possibly life-threatening. Say studies, normally this symptoms occur within mins. Dreadful symptoms include harsh increases in heart rate and blood pressure that may well lead to shock. Though, I do not have the signs of serotonin syndrome, I definitely wish I would have done the study before taking them together. I got lucky and did not have that reaction…maybe some other person would possibly not be so lucky!

Yes, prozac ( fluoxetine ) and ritalin work in alternative ways, whilst they are both stimulants ( prozac less so ) the sole interaction would be that you would feel too ‘wired’ in which case one of the doses would need to be dropped however there would be no dangerous interactions.

Yes, there’s no problem in taking those two drugs together. You could experiment more side effects ( dry mouth, wooziness, sleepiness, .. ). This mixture could be utilized in refracting depression ( not responding to only 1 anti-depressant – or too many side-effects at higher dose )

SSRI’s have their side effects and because of this it is very important to be sure that you work with your doctor closely to make sure that your Prozac dosage is right.
